If you’re heading to Disney World soon, and you’re traveling with a large family, then you’ll probably be incredibly interested to learn about the best coolers for Disney World you can find on the market. Well, don’t fret, because in this article, I’m going to share the fifteen best coolers that will keep your snacks and beverages cold throughout the day.

Let’s first begin with a Mickey Mouse bag by Oniva.

Portability: This bag is easy to carry and comes with an adjustable shoulder strap.
Chill Factor: It’s adequately insulated. On a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high), I’d put it at an 8, so long as you remember your ice packs.
Capacity: This is a smaller bag, and is best for individual travelers or a couple. There’s plenty of space for a few drinks, snacks and a lunch. It’s a little small for a family.
Storage: There are multiple compartments aside from the main compartment where you’ll keep your ice packs. This allows you to pack other park necessities in zippered sections that don’t need to be kept cool.

Quality: This is a decent quality polyester bag, and a great selection for the price.
Why I Love It: The best part of this bag is the design. It’s perfect for a day in the parks, especially for Mickey lovers. The design is cute and not over the top and it’s not so bulky that it’s difficult to carry around.

Portability: This bag is considerably lightweight. It’s a little larger and comes with an adjustable shoulder strap.
Chill Factor: Thermal insulation keeps the contents of the bag relatively cool. It’s waterproof and leakproof. I’d give it a 6 for chill factor, simply because it’s designed to keep contents cool for 5 – 6 hours. As you know, we’re often in the parks for a full day. If you know you’ll be taking a break midday to refuel on ice packs, this is a great choice.
Capacity: This cooler holds 6 gallons in regards to volume (think 32 cans of soda). It provides plenty of space for drinks and snacks for the day.
Storage: There are plenty of additional pockets, including 1 top pocket, 2 side pockets and 2 front pockets. I recommend using these pockets for utensils, snacks that don’t need to be kept cool, and other important park necessities.

Quality: Oxford fabric, this bag is a great quality for the price.
Why I Love It: This bag is waterproof. If you’ve been to Disney World in the summer, and you’ve been caught in a 3pm thunderstorm, this bag is great. The water wipes off, keeping your contents dry.

Portability: This is a backpack, very lightweight and easy to carry.
Chill Factor: With thick insulation, this bag provides all day cooling. With the proper ice packs, I give this a chill factor of 9.
Capacity: This is a decent pack, and can hold approximately 20 cans. It’s great for a couple or small family, and can hold a decent volume of drinks and snacks. Because this is a backpack, keep in mind you’ll need to pack your bag strategically. Items on top will be easier to access, and to reach the items at the bottom you’ll need to empty the contents on top.
Storage: There is a front pocket, 2 side pockets and 2 front pockets for additional storage.

Quality: This bag is high quality for this price range.
Why I Love It: It’s comfortable and the straps are wider making it easier to carry during the day. It’s not as cumbersome on my shoulders or my back.

Portability: This is a backpack, an very easy to carry. It’s a little smaller, great for couples or a small family.
Chill Factor: I give this a 7 in regards to the chill factor. It’s a little lighter and not as heavily insulated as other backpacks.
Capacity: This can hold about 28 cans. Plenty of space for a variety of drinks, water bottles, and snacks for the day.
Storage: There is a zipper pocket on the lid, 2 side mesh pockets (perfect for extra water) and my favorite, 2 large front pockets for additional snacks and necessities.

Why I Love It: I’m a huge fan of this style. It’s minimalistic, easy to carry, and the compartment is roomy enough that I feel like I can access things without emptying the bag.

Portability: This is a larger bag, great for a larger family. If it’s packed to the brim, it could be a little heavy so keep that in mind.
Chill Factor: This cooler is great at keeping things cold for an entire day. I give it a 10 in regards to the chill factor – be sure to load up on ice packs.
Capacity: This bag can hold up to 30 cans, so you’ll have no problem packing drinks and snacks for a family of 4.
Storage: There isn’t a lot of external storage on this bag. Its primary purpose is to keep things cold. If you need a lot of additional storage, this may not be the best option.

Why I Love It: I’m a huge fan of the Coleman brand. I camp and kayak on a regular basis, and I’ve found this brand to be resilient. I carried a Coleman bag for years before I started to see the wear and tear. I’m not a huge fan of over the shoulder bags, but I love the padded strap on this Coleman that helps offset the weight.

Chill Factor: I give this a 7. It’s well insulated and will keep drinks relatively cool.
Capacity: This has a decent sized main compartment that’s perfect for a few large water bottles and a few snacks.
Storage: There is a large front pocket for park necessities or utensils. There isn’t a lot of additional storage or snack space outside of the main compartment.

Quality: This bag is high quality for this price range.
Why I Love This Bag: It’s the perfect size for an individual or couple, and I’m all about the cute Mickey design! This feels like carrying a regular backpack, and the straps are comfortable for all day wear. There’s a “cool” compartment and a “dry” compartment to separate your snacks. It limits space a bit, but it’s a fun feature.

Chill Factor: I give this a 9. It’s made with high density NBR foam and keeps things cool for the entire day.
Capacity: This is a great option for small to medium families and holds up to 20 cans.
Storage: There’s minimal storage but there is an additional zipper pocket on top.
Price: $140
Quality: Excellent – this is a more expensive bag and the quality matches. The exterior is puncture, UV and chemical resistant. This bag was designed to last.
Why I Love It: This comes with an Icolate Tote, which is a detachable interior that makes it easy to lift out of the cooler and clean.
#15: YETI Hopper Soft Sided Backpack Cooler
Size: 13” x 6.5” x 15”
Portability: I prefer the soft cooler because it’s easier to carry as a lighter backpack. The straps are thin but comfortable.
Chill Factor: I give this a 10 for chill factor. It’s heavily insulated side keeps your drinks cold all day.
Capacity: This bag holds about 18 cans of soda, so it’s good for a small family or if you just want to keep your drinks extra cold.
Storage: The only downside I have with this bag is the lack of additional storage. This bag is best at keeping your cold items COLD.

Quality: Excellent – this bag includes cold cell insulation that provides high quality cooling.
Why I Love It: I’ve saved the Yeti for last, because it is the best quality on the market, but also the most expensive. While these are available on Amazon and Yeti’s website, I’ve managed to score deals at my local REI. Keep an eye out!

Disney World Cooler Rules
Before we conclude, let’s go over the rules when it comes to bringing a cooler into the parks. First of all, security has the right to not allow your bag into the park. In all my years visiting the parks, rarely have I seen this happen, and it’s usually because coolers are being used to bring prohibited items into the parks.
Coolers need to be under 24 inches in length, 15 inches wide and 18 inches tall. Have I ever seen security measure a bag? No – but believe me they see thousands of bags and coolers pass through a day, they’ll know if you’re trying to bring in something larger.
Ice and dry ice is not allowed, so I recommend using ice packs. Glass is prohibited in the parks. Make sure your drinks are in plastic, cardboard, aluminum, etc. Alcohol is also prohibited in the parks (but feel free to bring it to your hotel rooms).
Food and snacks are ok, just remember there is nowhere in the parks where you can microwave or reheat food. Of course be cautious when packing items that are perishable. Even with an excellent cooler and ice packs, you’ll be outside all day. Even on a cool day with a solid pack, I’ve had food (tuna sandwich – do not recommend) go bad.
