Just because the weather in Orlando is often beautiful doesn’t mean it can’t ever get chilly, let alone cold.  When the seasons change and the temperature drops, you’re going to want a jacket that you can rely on, so we’ve outlined (below) our top picks for the best jackets for Disney World.  Let’s jump right into it!

Best Jackets for Disney World We Love

Let’s begin with a nice, affordable lightweight puffer jacket.

#1: AMAZON ESSENTIALS – Women’s Lightweight Puffer Jacket

Style: Puffer Jacket

Warmth: 6/10

Price: About $40

Quality: It’s decent quality for the price, if you’re looking for a functional puffer jacket at a lower price point. There are of course higher quality brands at triple the price point, but this is a great alternative and perfect for the Florida winter.

Why I Love It: I love having a jacket like this on hand for the times when it’s nice and warm during the day and the temperature  drops at night. If you want to save space it compacts into a small bag that will comfortably fit in your backpack. It comes in a variety of different colors, and doesn’t feel too heavy when you’re wearing it.

#2: QUEENIEKE – Women’s Sports Jacket Slim Fit

Style: Running Jacket

Warmth: 6/10

Price: About $42

Quality: This is a great, durable jacket for the price.

Why I Love It: This is a perfect layer piece either to wear under a bigger jacket or over a tee-shirt on chillier mornings. It’s comfortable, easy to move around in and comes in almost every color. It’s a flattering fit with a higher collar, and comes in a variety of colors. I love the sporty look, and am a huge fan of athletic wear with thumbholes.

#3: COLUMBIA – Women’s Switchback Jacket

Style: Lightweight Jacket

Warmth: 7/10

Price: About $60

Quality: This is an excellent brand, and in my experience their clothing pieces are extremely durable.

Why I Love It: This jacket is great for the weather, whether it’s just a cold winter day in the parks, or if you see rain in the forecast. Equipped with a hood, this jacket will keep you warm, and more importantly, it’ll keep you dry. It has two decent sized pockets which I appreciate, giving me a quick safe space to put my  phone and a hand sanitizer.

#4: COLUMBIA – Men’s Watertight Jacket

Style: Lightweight Jacket

Warmth: 6/10

Price: About $70

Quality: This is another solid Columbia brand jacket.

Why I Love It: I’m a huge fan of Columbia, and this is a great option for men. It’s still lightweight and breathable, and waterproof at the same time. It’s thick enough to wear on its own, and also serves as a great outer layer on colder days. It also comes in what is (in my opinion) a very flattering fit.

#5: COLUMBIA – Women’s Zip Up

Style: Zip Up Sweater

Warmth: 8/10

Price: Varies ($50-$150)

Quality: I’m back with a Columbia brand – these are excellent sweaters for the price.

Why I Love It: These are excellent warm, thinner layer pieces and are perfect on their own or underneath larger jackets. The jacket features zippered security pockets to keep things secure which is a big selling point for me. If I want to leave my backpack behind with my party and go on a ride that requires me to secure my things, it’s easy to slip my phone in the pocket and zip it closed without worrying about it falling out.

#6: COLUMBIA – Men’s Zip Up

Style: Zip Up Sweater

Warmth: 8/10

Price: About $45

Quality: Great quality for the price.

Why I Love It: This is a great layer or standalone piece. The fleece material will keep you very warm, and also comes equipped with the same zippered pockets to secure your belongings on rides.

#7: ROSKIKI – Women’s Boyfriend Washed Denim Coat

Style: Jean Jacket

Warmth: 5/10

Price: About $40

Quality: This is a great brand, and a great quality for the price. It’s not the expensive denim jacket that’s going to last you a lifetime, but it’s an adorable statement piece that can be dressed up or dressed down, and layered with other accent pieces.

Why I Love It: A good denim jacket is a staple in not only my everyday wardrobe, but my Disney wardrobe. No matter the time of year, it’s easy to take on, take off, tie around my waist, and add to almost any outfit. It’s a great spring/summer option because it’s lightweight enough for warmer days, and heavy enough to keep you warm indoors.

#8: GIMECEN – Women’s Lightweight Full Zip Up Fleece

Style: Zip Up Sweater

Warmth: 9/10

Price: About $37

Quality: This is a great alternative to name brands. Remember that you do get what you pay for, and the “fleece” isn’t quite as soft as what you may be used to in higher quality brands. However, this zip up will still be plenty soft and will keep you very warm.

Why I Love It: It’s a flattering fit, a great lightweight option or layering piece, and it comes in a variety of different colors. I do love the roomy front pockets to keep your hands warm.

#9: NORTH FACE – Women’s Aconcagua Insulated Jacket

Style: Puffer Jacket

Warmth: 10/10

Price: Varies

Quality: North Face is an excellent brand, with high quality outerwear. It’s more expensive, but my North Face jackets have lasted years with little to no wear.

Why I Love It: This jacket is down insulated, which means it’s soft, warm, and will compact down small enough to fit into your backpack. It’s also wind-resistant, and one of the warmest jackets I’ve owned.

#10: MARMOT – Women’s Precip Lightweight Rain Jacket

Style: Rain Jacket

Warmth: 8/10

Price: Varies

Quality: Marmot is a quality brand with leaf-proof fabric, and holds up perfectly in Florida storms.

Why I Love It: This coat keeps you dry in a storm, and also dries quickly so you aren’t carrying around a sopping wet coat the rest of the day. It’s a great outer layer, and fits comfortably over thinner sweaters.

#11: MARMOT – Men’s PreCip Jacket

Style: Rain Jacket

Warmth: 8/10

Price: About $90

Quality: This is another high quality Marmot piece.

Why I Love It: This is a great men’s coat, with zippers and buttons to ensure you stay dry in a storm. It’s warm, waterproof, and comfortable (you don’t get the feeling that you’re sweating inside of a wet jacket like other raincoats). It’s well ventilated and comes in a variety of different colors.

#12: HANES – Women’s Sport Performance Fleece Hoodie

Style: Zip Up Hoodie

Warmth: 6/10

Price: About $20

Quality: Hanes has never done me wrong in regards to athletic wear, and this is a great quality layering piece.

Why I Love It: This is a go-to piece in my wardrobe, and I own more than one. Unless it’s the heat of summer, I throw one in my bag every time I head out to the parks. It’s light enough for breezy days but doesn’t make me sweat in the sun. It’s perfect to pull out waiting in line for indoor attractions and easy to stow away afterwards in my backpack. It’s a bit more of a sporty look, which is my style, but it’s also a great layering piece for the extra chilly days. It fits perfectly under a large jacket without being too bulky.

Best Hoodies for Disney World

If you’d rather rock a nice hoodie for warmth rather than a jacket (perhaps on cool but not too cold days), here are our favorites.

#13: AMAZON ESSENTIALS – Women’s Disney Hoodie

Style: Pullover Hoodie

Warmth: 5/10

Price: About $30

Quality: These are fun, comfortable and sturdy hoodies. Are they top quality material? No. But for the price, they’re fun and stylish.

Why I Love It: They’re low cost alternatives to brand name Disney clothing items, and come in a variety of different designs so you can choose your favorite characters.

#14: AMAZON ESSENTIALS – Men’s Disney Hoodie

Style: Pullover Hoodie

Warmth: 5/10

Price: About $30

Quality: Like the women’s option, these are a great find for the price.

Why I Love It: Again I love how there are so many different designs available, and that there are matching men & women designs (if you’re THAT couple, which is fine, because I am THAT couple!).

#15: DISNEY – Mickey and Friends Pullover Hoodie

Style: Hoodie

Warmth: 7/10

Price: About $50

Quality: This is a great quality sweater at a fraction of the cost of the sweaters in the park.

Why I Love It: I love a good loose fitting pullover in the colder months. I prefer the oversized look in the parks, so it’s easy to move and throw a few layers underneath. But this is also cute in a more fitted size. The sweater is unisex and is cute and flattering on both men and women, and comes in several neutral colors.
