Discover some awesome theme park outfit ideas.

Most theme park visitors spend their entire day at the theme park. They spend countless hours riding the rides, enjoying the shows, and seeing the attractions. No one wants to realize they have on the wrong pair of shoes or are too cold three hours into their theme park adventure.

As such, dressing appropriately is one of the most important things to consider. In this article, we will be sharing our theme park outfit ideas for every season.

Theme Park Outfit Ideas for All Seasons

Always think comfort over style. When heading to a theme park, The Disney World Help Center recommends wearing good walking shoes and dressing comfortably. No matter what the weather or season is, you want to be able to walk, stretch, bend, and move without any restrictions.

Footwear: Since you’ll be on your feet all day long, you want to make sure you have proper footwear. Do purchase a pair of shoes that are durable and easy to put on and take off. During their vacation to Walt Disney World, the average guest walks 7-10 miles per day.  To avoid feeling the pavement, purchase an insert gel sole to place in your shoe. The gel sole will help absorb the impact of the cement on your heel when walking.

If you’re planning on hitting a water park or enjoying a water ride, you’ll definitely want your shoes to be waterproof or water resistant. Bring a pair of shower shoes specifically for the water rides, if you don’t want to walk around in wet shoes.

Do not test out a new pair of shoes at the theme park. Make sure you’ve worn the shoes previously for an extended amount of time

Do’s: Sneakers, Tennis Shoes, Flats, or Sandals (with supportive heel strap).

Don’ts: Flip Flops, Boots, Heels (of any kind)

Accessories: No matter the season, it is important to protect yourself against the sun. Make sure you bring a hat or visor, sunglasses, and sunscreen. A poncho is also a must have, as rain is often in the forecast.

Do bring an extra pair of socks per day, in case they get soaked by weather or on a water ride. Also, keep jewelry to small ear studs, tight rights and bracelets, and short necklaces. This will decrease the likelihood of getting caught on a ride or breaking.

Do bring a hands-free bag to carry your essential accessories in. Think backpacks or cross-body bags

Don’t overwhelm yourself with every accessory known to man. Focus on bringing the necessities. If you forget something, you can purchase a hat, shoes, gloves, or sunscreen inside the park.

Theme Park Outfit Ideas for Spring

The best theme park outfit tip for the spring is to dress less and bring an extra layer. It will be warm enough to wear shorts and short-sleeved shirts throughout the day. However, the early morning and evening can be a bit chilly. A light jacket or hoodie would be ideal to wear around your waist or stuff in a carry bag for the park.

  • Do be mindful of the twists and turns of the rides and make sure your dress or skirt has built in shorts underneath. Avoid long flowing dresses as these could get stuck in rides and/or rip.
