Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for Adults? Adult Makeovers at Disney

Is there a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for Adults? Unfortunately no, but here are six great alternatives you can visit to receive adult makeovers at Disney World.

Slowly but surely, Disney World is bringing back all its favorite experiences for guests of all ages. This includes perhaps one of the best experiences for kids: the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. But for some time now, parents have often asked the same question: is there a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for adults?

Well, sadly the answer is no.  If you think about it, Disney wouldn’t want adult guests dressed up as Tiana or Jasmine walking around the park, as it would confuse children.  However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t other great options available to get adult makeovers at Disney World.

So here is a list of six salons and spas available at Disney where adults can go to relax, get pampered, and feel like a princess (or prince).

Salon by the Springs

If you are staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Lodge and are in need of a manicure, pedicure or new hair style, Salon by the Springs has you covered. This wilderness themed spa includes a variety of nail and hair services, including cuts, highlights, and extensions. It’s a perfect place for a quick primp.

However, if you’re looking for that tranquil spa experience, this is not it. This salon is rather small and lacks the ambiance and luxury you typically expect from a salon. There are no quiet waiting rooms with soft music, no robes, and no slippers. And with the same prices as other salons at Disney, I would only recommend this place if you are staying at the hotel for pure convenience.

Overall, Salon by the Springs is lacking compared to other Disney spas and salons. If you’re looking for a true pampering experience, you might want to try one of the other’s listed below.

La Vida Salon and Spa

Located at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, La Vida Spa and Salon is definitely a step up from Salon by the Spring. This Southwestern themed salon offers an array of massages, facials, hair and nail treatments. This one includes more of a traditional spa ambiance.

Upon arrival, guests can change into a robe and slippers and enjoy a quiet room with light refreshments while waiting for their treatment. Spa services include different types of massages, custom facials, and even an intensive leg and foot massage.

When it comes to salon services, La Vida offers the full deal. Services include haircuts for men, women, and children. However, that is just the beginning. Here you can get a full transformation, as they also offer hair chemical services like full color dye and highlights as well as hair extension services and mask treatments.

The salon also offers manicure and pedicure options with a variety of add ons. My favorite add on, according to WDW News Today, is the character nail decal, which is offered for just $30 a set. For those looking to enjoy this experience with their kids, they do have nail options specifically for kids ages 4 to 12.

Special occasion and bridal make and hair packages are also available by appointment only.

Prices vary greatly depending on the treatment or service you choose. Hair services range between $35-$175, while spa treatments run between $115 and $180. While prices for hair and nail services are the same as those at Salon by the spa, they are actually slightly lower than other resorts like The Grand Floridian and The Dolphin Hotel.

Overall, La Vida Salon is perfect for a little primp and pamper with a more spa-like feel. The salon is open every day from 9am to 5pm. Appointments are highly encouraged but not required as long as there is availability.

Ship Shape Massage Salon

Similar to La Vida salon is the Ship Shape Massage Salon, which resides inside Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. At this nautical themed salon, you will find many of the same spa and salon services as well as very similar pricing as La Vida Salon.

Treat yourself to an array of hair services, from a simple bang trim to a full color change. There is no need to stop there as this spa also offers nail and massage treatments.

At Ship Shape Salon, you can also start your pampering by slipping into a cozy robe and slippers. Enjoy light refreshments while you wait for your treatment. Afterwards, they offer a shower room equipped with shampoo and conditioner to finish off your experience and get you ready for the rest of the day.

Overall, you can expect a very similar experience as La Vida, as it offers the same treatments, services and amenities. It’s a perfect place to feel like a princess as you enjoy a little pampering.

The Grand Floridian Spa

It is well known that the Grand Floridian Resort is one of Disney’s superior resorts. So it’s no surprise that the Grand Floridian Spa is just as luxurious as the hotel itself. With a relaxation room, light refreshments, cozy robe and slippers, and over 20 treatments available, this recently renovated, Victorian-style spa and salon is no doubt one of the best on property.

The spa offers a variety of massages ranging from $175-$245, including a hot stone massage and an expectant mother’s massage. They also offer body therapies and facials, which range from $125-$270. These include exfoliating scrubs, anti-aging treatments, and custom organic facials. Here, you can also match your little girl’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique nails with a manicure or pedicure starting at $70.

As far as hair services offered, the Grand Floridian does not have the extensive list of services as La Vida and Ship Shape Salon. However, it does offer haircuts for both men and women along with other specialty services, like blowouts, a beard trim, or hair braiding. These services start at $25 and go up to $105.

Prices at the Grand Floridian Spa are slightly higher than over spas on Disney property. However, with all the added amenities that you can only find at this spa, it’s definitely worth paying a little extra.

In addition to cozy robes, a relaxing lounge area, and refreshments, they also have a steam room and hot tub for you to enjoy. You are welcome to enjoy them before and after your treatment with no time limit. Once you are all done, you can shower off and get ready for the rest of your day in their fully loaded shower room, equipped with toiletries and hair dryers.

Overall, if you’re looking for the royal treatment, The Grand Floridian Spa is the place for you. At this spa and salon, you won’t be pampered like a princess, you’ll be treated like a queen. With its extra amenities and luxurious atmosphere, expect to lose track of time while you enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation.

Mandara Spa

For the ultimate pampering experience, you’re going to want to head over to the Mandara Spa and Salon, located at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. This 10,000- square foot, Balinese inspired spa truly has it all.

When you think of a traditional spa atmosphere, with its quiet lounge areas playing soft, tranquil music, and pumping fresh aromas throughout the room, this is what you’ll get at Mandara Spa.

Here you can start your relaxation experience before your treatment in one of its three relaxation rooms, including a Tea Garden, where you can sip on a selection of teas, and a meditation garden. Other amenities include robes and slippers to lounge in while waiting, and a changing room with lockers and showers.

The Mandara Spa offers an extensive list of treatments, as well. From massages and facials, to nails and body wraps, to even hair and waxing services. When I say this spa has it all, I really meant it!

Not only do they offer 60, 75, and 90 minutes massage and facials, but they also offer a full list of enhancements that can extend and enrich your experiences. These include a nourishing scalp treatment and an oxygen blast, or a citrus body gloss and bamboo theory.

Maybe you’re looking for a little more primp than pamper, and are interested in one of their hair and makeup services. Well, if so, the Mandara Spa offers full hair services too, including haircuts, colors, highlights, hair treatments, and styling.

They also offer makeup applications for any occasion, as well. While they don’t officially have “Fairy Godmother Apprentices”, they do have professional stylists who will guarantee you leave looking and feeling as beautiful as Belle or Cinderella.

The pricing ranges by service and is very similar to other spas at Disney. However, if you’re lucky, you can sometimes find spa deals for Mandara on Groupon. Treatments are usually limited, but hey, a deal is a deal!

Overall, this experience is well worth it. As far as amenities, services, and overall environment, this spa has everything you need to get the fully pampered treatment. Once you leave, you are sure to feel completely transformed, almost as if you truly become a Disney princess.

Character Couture Makeovers for Adults

Character Couture Makeovers for Adults

If you’re looking for a more traditional Disney makeover for adults, you’re in luck, thanks to Character Couture.

Now it’s no question that many adult Disney guests have often found themselves envious of younger guests that are able to enjoy the experience of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Sure, you’re overjoyed that your kid can transform into Ariel or Moana, but dang it, you paid for these expensive park tickets and you want that same magical experience too.

Well, Disney has finally heard your cries for change.  Therefore, they have created Character Couture. This newer character makeover experience is for guests of all ages. During the experience, a Disney stylist will transform your hair, makeup and nails into designs inspired by various classic Disney characters! You can choose from just about any Disney character—from princesses, to Marvel superheroes, to the “Fab Five” and more.

Prices are very similar to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. You can choose one of the makeover services starting at just $50. Or you can get the full hair, makeup, and nail package for $130 (prices are always subject to change). Unfortunately, Disney still has a strict no costumes on adults policy, so costume pieces are not included in the package.

For anyone over the age of 12 who has always wanted a full Disney makeover, Character Couture is definitely worth it. This experience can be booked at many of the Disney salons previously mentioned, including The Grand Floridian Spa, Salon by the Springs, La Vida Salon, and Ship Shape Salon.

No Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for Adults?  No Problem

While Walt Disney World Resort certainly caters its entertainment to kids, they certainly haven’t abandoned adults. With these six salons and spas, there are plenty of opportunities and experiences for Disney adults to feel like royalty as they get primped and pampered.

And with its new Character Couture, there is even an experience that can feel like a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for adults.  So, if you’re wondering if you should treat yourself to one of these many spa and salon services, the answer is an emphatic “yes!”  No matter which salon or spa you choose, it will surely be a dream come true.
