Let’s begin with Hollywood and Vine.

Hollywood and Vine

Dining Experience: Hollywood and Vine Restaurant is a buffet style dining experience that you can enjoy with your favorite characters. If you want to eat breakfast in Hollywood Studios, this restaurant is the best choice! Along with enjoying some yummy food, you will have the chance to eat, play and laugh with your favorite Disney Junior friends at breakfast or Minnie and friends on special occasions in this interactive dining experience. 

Menu Options: The breakfast at Hollywood and Vine features an assortment of the tastiest pastries and an omelet station. You can also enjoy your favorite classic entrees including, biscuits and gravy, Mickey-shaped waffles, and eggs benedict. They also offer some signature dishes as well, which include a salmon and bagel casserole, plant-based frittata, and brioche French toast. 

The lunch and dinner at Hollywood and Vine are an opportunity to dine with the “mouse-with-the-mostest” at a soiree that has festive music and tantalizing menu items. At this experience, you will be offered an array of entrees, including roasted mushroom farro risotto, macaroni and cheese, and several protein options, including oven-roasted chicken, tenderloin steak, salmon, and a crispy pork belly. Be sure to save some room, though, the dessert options are always a sweet surprise, including bread pudding and Mississippi mud pie!

The menu is very kid friendly while also providing some options for the adults with a larger palette. I can assure you no one in your family will be disappointed if you decide to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner here!

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant

Dining Experience: Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant is an experience where guests can pull up into a car-shaped booth or table to enjoy an indoor drive-in while they watch classic sci-fi scenes onscreen. There are also picnic tables located at the back of the theater for those who show up last minute and may not have a reservation. If you do decide to dine without a reservation, you will have the chance to order from an old-fashioned drive-in concession stand, too!   

Menu Options: This restaurant is only open for lunch and dinner so if you are getting hungry after a long day in the park, this is one of the best options! For the main presentation, entrees include a flame-broiled burger, buffalo chicken salad, a vegetarian falafel burger, the house-smoked St. Louis style pork ribs, and even an oven-roasted turkey sandwich. 

If you are 21 or older, you can even try one of the many alcoholic concoctions, including a Long Island Lunar Tea and the Magical Star Cocktail. Lastly, you cannot forget the desserts this guest favorite has to offer. Be sure to save some room for their Out-Of-This-World Turtle Cheesecake and House-made Sci-Fi Candy Bar.

Cost of Dining: This dining option is a little cheaper when compared to Hollywood and Vine. You can expect to pay anywhere between $15 to $34.99 per adult for lunch and dinner!

Location in the Park: Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant can be found past Commissary Lane in Disney’ Hollywood studios. 

Who Will Most Enjoy Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant: This dining option is also perfect for the entire family. The adults will be sure to appreciate the nostalgia the theming brings, while the kids will love the opportunity to watch a movie while eat their dinner inside of a car!

Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano 

Dining Experience: Mama Melrose herself will be serving up some famous Italian fare with flavors as bold as her and a California twist, all while surrounded by string lights, checked curtains, and walls filled with mementos. Make sure you come here with a hearty appetite, because the pasta options are to die for!

Menu Options: For starters, you must try the calamari and margarita flatbread fresh from the oven. In terms of entrees, you will have so many mouthwatering options you will not know what to choose. Some entrée options include authentic pastas, savory chicken, and the charred strip steak. To top it off, you cannot skip out on Mama’s tiramisu or Ghirardelli chocolate.

If you are 21 or older, you will be able to order from a selection of Italian or Californian wines, draft beers, and specialty cocktails. Per tradition, Mama also invites her guests to enjoy an authentic cappuccino, caffe latte, mocha, or expresso!

50’s Prime Time Café

Dining Experience: The 50’s Prime Time Café is my personal favorite and will have you laughing throughout your entire dining experience. This authentic dining experience takes you right back home to your mom’s kitchen where she slaves away in the kitchen while the rest of the family serves you. Mind your manners, though, because they will have no problem punishing you for any attitude or being on your phone. 

Menu Options: Be sure to bring your appetite when you arrive because this home-style cooking will leave you feeling like you just had Thanksgiving dinner (twice)! You can expect entrees like Dad’s Stuffed Pork Chop, Cousin Harold’s Vegetable Lasagna, A Sampling of Mom’s Favorite Recipes, and Aunt Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken. Your dining experience will not be complete without one of their famous desserts either. You will be able to choose between a Traditional Warm Apple Crisp A la Mode, Dad’s Favorite Chocolate-Peanut Butter Layered Cake, and Mom’s Brownie!

Cost of Dining: The cost of dining here is more affordable in terms of Disney dining, with lunch and dinner costing between $15 to $34.99 per adult!

Location in the Park: You can find the 50’s Prime Time Café just down the street from Hollywood and Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The Hollywood Brown Derby

Dining Experience: The Hollywood Brown Derby has a star-studded legacy that allows you to dine in an authentic replica of the famous Brown Derby, a Tinseltown landmark that is stepped in glamour and glitz. When you enter the restaurant, you will be surrounded with caricatures of famous faces. Not to mention, the upscale atmosphere takes you right back to the Golden Age of Hollywood. 

Menu Options: The menu here is filled with signature dishes that will not leave your tastebuds disappointed, allowing you to experience the legacy of the original Brown Derby, with what Disney calls timeless dishes and classic cocktails. Some of the most popular choices include a pork chop, char-grilled filet of beef with a Yukon gold potato cake, and you cannot forget the famous Cobb salad that follows the recipe of Bob Cobb, the owner of the historic Brown Derby.

As with all the other Disney restaurants, you must save room for some dessert because the Hollywood Brown Derby Dessert Trio is something you do not want to miss!

Location in the Park: The Hollywood Brown Derby can be found on the corner of the Animation Courtyard and Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. 

Who Will Enjoy Most The Hollywood Brown Derby: The Hollywood Brown Derby is more of an adult-friendly dining experience. The aesthetic and theming of this restaurant was designed to allow you to dine in a replica of the famous Brown Derby and will be appreciated more by the adult crowd!

If you are traveling without the kiddos, I suggest heading to The Brown Derby Restaurant for dinner!
