This will leave no holes in your mind to chase down that rabbit late at night. Having a solid itinerary in hand will leave you stress-free and able to take your mind off the big trip.

Long story short—No. Studies show that the vast majority of people who try this, actually prolong their time to fall asleep. Just avoid this old method altogether.

Again, the best way I’ve found for this is to be on a set schedule prior to the big day. If you work a 9-5, you’re in luck. Your body already knows it’s time for bed. If you don’t have some sort of set schedule, you can start preparing a week in advance. Stick to this routine and you will have fantastic results as long as you follow all of the material in this guide.

How to prep for my travel plans to Disney World?

One of the ways I alleviate the pressure to fall asleep the night before Disney World is by always planning my flights far in advance, and doing so in a way that’s most conducive to my family’s lifestyle and internal clocks.

Now we all want to be at Disney as soon as possible. But it doesn’t make sense to book flights at 3 a.m. when you are going to be groggy upon arrival.

One of the things I like to do is plan my trip with a mix of later departure and early arrival.

Easier said than done, I know!

Anywhere from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m should be great for everyone. Of course, the arrival time depends on if you have layovers and where you are coming from.

But generally, it’s best to try to get a direct flight to have an early arrival time. That is if your plan is to take to the parks straight away.

Another thing to consider is the distance from your house to the airport. Since my family doesn’t live in a big city, we prefer to stay the night before at the airport hotel.

This allows for less travel time, and you get the added benefit of not stressing out about leaving an important item at home. You can always do a quick double-check upon arrival.
